Outdoor enthusiasts are key players in conserving our planet's resources. The human population has increased from 1.6 billion in the year 1910 to over 6.7 billion currently!  That means we've quadrupled in just 100 years. Estimates put us at over 8 billion by 2020. Keeping all of us fed, sheltered and watered has put a major strain on the Earth. The current rate of resource consumption must be managed intelligently. This starts at home. Grow some food, recycle, reduce, re-use and encourage the "outdoor challenged" to participate.
