Water Conservation:
This is very important for the planet and can be beneficial for your pocketbook. Many of Tennessee's rivers, lakes, ponds and streams have been impacted by soil erosion, damming and pollution. Everyone plays an important part in maintaining the quality of our water. It is up to us to protect our water. All living beings on the planet must have water for survival. While the eastern U.S. has had an abundance of rainfall, groundwater, streams, and rivers, some areas in Tennessee have experienced water shortages in the past several years during droughts. With increasing population growth and development of rural as well as urban areas, Tennessee citizens are facing the need for water conservation. There are simple things we can do that collectively make a difference in our supply of clean fresh water.
